Tryouts for U11, U13, U15 & U18
2024 - 2025
IMPORTANT NOTE: No player is allowed on the ice once tryouts begin if they have not:
- Registered for the upcoming season
- Paid registration fee in full
- Paid the tryout fee (on Ramp)
- Paid ALL outstanding fees on Ramp
Please arrive at least 45 minutes before the tryout begins. The registration table will be located in the lobby of the Angus Arena and this is where your player will register and receive their assigned tryout pinnie. The pinnies are to be returned at the conclusion of each session. Your player will also need to visit the sizing table to try on a jersey and socks. Please also ensure your athlete arrives with all protective hockey gear including neck guards and mouth guards. Anyone with missing equipment will not be permitted on the ice. Please advise at time of tryout registration if your child is exempt from a mouthguard (requires a doctor's note). Practice jerseys are to be worn. No jerseys with last names on the back.
**Please note - No refunds will be issued for kids who do not make a Rep team. If your child does not make a Rep team, they will play on a Local League team.** Refund Policy

Please note: Each player is guaranteed 3 skates.

Essa Player - $80
Essa Player (trying up a division**) - $100
Thornton Player - $100
NRP Player - $125

**Rep Costs for the 2024-2025 Season**
Once you make the rep team these fees are in addition to registration fees.
- $250 U11/U13 Players
-$200 U11/U13 Goalies
- $300 U15/U18 Players
-$250 U15/U18 Goalies
(includes your home & away jerseys, home/away socks)
Call Backs will be posted after the third tryout and then after every subsequent tryout.
There will no longer be in-person cuts.

** ROO 5.3c Underage Player Movement - In order to be successful at the higher level, the player must be rated within the top five (5) selections for the Representative Team. If player is unsuccessful with the advanced age group, they shall remain eligible to try out for the team of his/her age category.
