Hockey Gives Blood
Submitted By Tiffany Hart on Tuesday, December 4, 2018
Hockey Gives Blood (HGB) was created out of two tragic events – The Humboldt Broncos accident and the death of Stu Middleton’s father (2000) when he was driving to attend Stu’s junior hockey game. Check out their website and see all the teams who are supporting this initiative across the country.

HBG believes that players are role models and leaders in the community – especially in small towns.  If fans see players/teams promoting blood donation, they will follow.  Over 22 teams across the country support HGB and the list is growing each week. So far, 3 NHL teams, 11 CHL teams, 8 CJHL teams support HGB.  Support is expanding to Junior B, the ECHL and university teams.
