Powerskating/Development (Essa Minor Hockey)


2019 -2020

Power Skating is returning to Essa for the 7th season.
Instructor: Michele Mundell (read more about Michele below)

We will be running two sessions:
10 weeks per session for $175.  The cost for NON-EMHA players is $225.
If you sign up in September for both sessions (Fall & Winter) the cost is $300. Please let us know at the registration desk on day one.


Our first session is:

Oct 1, 8, 15, 22, 29 Nov 5, 12, 19, 26 Dec 3th, 2019

Tyke & Novice * 6:30 - 7:20pm
Atom & above * 7:30 - 8:20pm

Our second session will be:

January 7, 14, 21, 28 February 4, 11, 18, 25, March 3, 10th, 2020

Michele's History:           

Has taught figure skating for 20+ years, was the instructor for Essa's 2017-2019 seasons. 

Certified with Skate Canada in the CANPOWERSKATE program (1980)          

Started working for NTR Barrie in 1997    

Worked in both figure skating & power skating   

Went full-time @ NTR heading all skating development programs from Learn to Skate up through all levels of players  

Ran her own power skating schools in York Region for 10+ years          

Course facilitator for Skate Canada's CANPOWERSKATE Certification (2001 - present)        

Currently head writer for development of new CANPOWERSKATE program  

Assistant power skating instructor to Marc Powers of Hockey Canada U18 & U22 Women's training camp - 2012         

Head Power Skating instructor for Mexican Hockey Federation Women's National Team (2013 - present)
