2026-2027 Registration (Essa Minor Hockey)

Early Bird Fee Schedule 2026-2027:

Junior Eagles: Registration for Junior Eagles for the 2026-2027 season will open on Sunday, May 24th at 9:00am.

Late Fees: If paid after June 30th, the registration fee will increase by $100.00 per division, except for Timbit (U7).

Fees: Above fees are based on local league fees. EMHA MD and Rep Teams require additional rep fees upon team selection. 

Rep Fees: U8/U9 Player- TBD, U11/U13 Player- TBD, U11/U13 Goalie - TBD, U15/U16/U18 Player- TBD,
U15/U16/U18 Goalie- TBD

Seed Fund/Tournament Fees: Seed funds or tournament fees in hockey refer to the money collected from each team or player to cover the costs of participating in a tournament. The term "seed fund" can also imply an initial amount used to help get the team bank account started, with hopes of covering expenses and possibly awarding prizes. It’s a way to ensure the event runs smoothly and all logistical costs are handled upfront. This is normally around $250-$350 and payable to your manager (they will give you a due date). 

Financial Assistance:  The Canadian Tire Jumpstart program is available to help reduce the registration fees for eligible applicants.  Further information can be found under the Registration Tab on the EMHA Website.  Please inform the registrar that your application has being submitted.  Submissions for Jumpstart can be made starting July 1st.  All applicants are required to pay $100.00 towards their registration fees prior to participating in any on ice activity.  Any remaining registration fees after all applicable financial assistance programs have been applied will be required to be remitted within 30 days of notification.

Bond Fee: Bond is back again this season! The bond payment is $200, written by a post dated cheque. Bond is an initiative for people to volunteer within the organization. *We are looking at other ways to collect bond instead of cheques.*

Fundraising Fee:  Each player has a $125 fundraising commitment with the option of paying the $125 and opting out of fundraising.  You will have the option of different fundraisers. For families with two children registered with EMHA your fundraising commitment is $185.

New Members: Must submit a copy of player's birth certificate.  New members that have registered with Hockey Canada and played for any other hockey organization must also complete a transfer. Contact registrar to make arrangements.

PLEASE READ BELOW FOR THE NEW REGISTRATION PROCESS FOR THE 2026/2027 SEASON:

The new open borders policy has created some changes in the registration process. Essa Minor Hockey has made the necessary changes so registration will look a bit different this year.

Here are the changes that will affect you:

• Registration for everything, including Rep tryouts will happen through Spordle.

  • Be sure you are registering in the correct “store” (there will be separate places to register for local league and Rep tryouts)

  • If you are successful at Rep tryouts a separate link to register will be sent to you after the tryouts.

  • If you're not successful at Rep tryouts, you will need to register in the Local League "store" 

• New Payment System/Options

  • We have been forced to change to SportsPay for credit card transactions. There is a 2.5% fee added to your transaction if you choose this option

  • We now offer e transfers! If you choose this option and the payment plan be sure to mark your calendar to ensure you do not miss a payment. No player will be allowed on the ice until payment is collected in full. Be sure to include your player’s name in the memo line!

  • For Local League registration only: upon registration (before May 31) you will be charged the fundraising fee as well as 10% of the registration fee. After June 1st, you will be charged the first installment of 34% as well.

  • Rep players will pay their fundraising fee after the tryouts.
