2025–2026 Season
❗️Important: Tryout Requirements
Players will not be allowed on the ice unless they have:
✅ Registered online for tryouts
✅ Paid the $80 tryout fee (via E-transfer or Credit Card)
📅 Arrive at least 45 minutes before the tryout begins.
📝 Registration will take place in the arena lobby, where players will receive a tryout pinnie (to be returned after each session) and a pin number (to be kept for cuts posted on our website)
🧤 Equipment Checklist
All players must wear full protective gear, including:
🥅 Neck guard
🦷 Mouth guard
🧥 Practice jersey (no last names on the back)
👨⚕️ Mouthguard exemptions require a doctor's note and must be declared at registration.
🧾 Refund & Eligibility Policy
🚫 No refunds if a player doesn’t make the MD team
🏒 Players who don’t make the MD team will be placed on a Local League team
🏘️ Trying out from another centre? You’re not required to play Local League in Essa, you can return to your home centre
👕 Jersey/Sock Fitting
During tryouts, all players will:
Be fitted for MD jerseys and socks
Submit their top 3 number choices
📦 Sizing is done for all tryout participants, so we can quickly order gear once teams are finalized.

⛸️ Each player is guaranteed 3 skates
📍 Tryouts will take place mid-to-late September
🕒 Exact dates/times to be posted in August
💲 Fees
Tryout Fee: $80
(payable via E-transfer or Credit Card after registering)
Rep Fee (if selected for team): $200
(in addition to regular registration fees)
✂️ Cuts
Cut list will be posted after the third tryout skate

📌 Underage Player Movement – ROO 5.3c
Players trying out for an advanced age group must rank in the top 5 selections to qualify.
If not successful, they remain eligible for their own age category.
